The MFA Forum’s Collaborative Framework

June 8, 2005

The MFA Forum is a multi-stakeholder learning forum for identifying and promoting collaborative strategies for responsibly managing the effects of the end of the MFA/ATC on the global garment industry.

The MFA Forum's Collaborative Framework for Guiding Post-MFA Actions identifies the roles and responsibilities of companies, governments, international institutions and trade unions and NGOs during the post-quota period. Although the Framework does not offer a set of enforceable rules, it does establish basic principles that key actors should follow. It could therefore become a useful tool to hold companies, governments and multi-lateral institutions accountable for their actions or lack thereof. The Framework is also available in hard copy by e-mail.
